Children Investment Council is a local Detroit non-profit that helps teens and youth with behavioral issues in school. We work with families, teachers, school administrators, and students to create behavioral programs and training workshops for students’ success.

 

Please contact us for a one-on-one consultation. Training, counseling, workshops, and events are created in partnership with local service providers. Payments for classes, consulting, services must be paid upfront. Our preferred method of communication is email: info@childreninvestmentcouncil.org. What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you place an order or subscribe to our newsletter.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site. How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

Our PayPal payment gateway offers the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

Timeframes and Payments

Cancellation of the Project Timeframe: If you halt work and apply for a refund with Children Investment Council, the initial deposit, minus all work completed, will be returned to you. Payment Options: We are sure you understand how important it is as a non-profit that you pay the invoices that Children Investment Council  sends you promptly. You agree to stick tight to the agreed-upon payment schedule. Payments will be via check, PayPal or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover) in US funds, to Children Investment Council. Children Investment Council will assess a charge for any checks that are not cleared through your bank. In addition, you will be responsible for any bank fees imposed on our bank account as a result of your uncleared check.
